Energy, and the truth about who we really are

Energy is what makes up every fiber of our being. It might be hard to believe but if you were to break us down to our absolute smallest particle, we would be nothing but energy. Not only would we be nothing but energy but so would the birds, bees, rivers, and trees if you were to do the same thing to them. The thing is that we all come from the same source of energy. Some star that exploded some billion odd years ago spread throughout the universe and made its way into what we call our lives. Its strange to think about this as we find ourselves driving our cars and punching in at our jobs and going about our daily lives, but when you start to open your self up to this idea you begin to realize that everything is connected, because everything is really just energy. One of Newton’s fundamental laws of physics is that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. What does that mean exactly? It means that you, me, and your neighbor Steve are all energy and will never truly cease to exist. What happens when we die is not for me to say but I can tell you that that energy is never lost. It is transformed into some other form of energy, some other form of light, and it will continue to exist and transform forever. Newton also stated that every action has an equal and opposite (in direction) reaction. That means that if you send out positive energy, you will get positive energy back. If you help someone or if you decide to commit some selfless act of kindness, that energy will come back to you and it will spread to everyone around you. That says a lot if you ask me about how we can really improve our lives. Instead of getting bogged down by the stress, anxiety and fear, we can choose to see the bright side of life and we can set our intention to release the stress and fear, so that we may move forward with positivity.

Another important thing to consider is that because we are made up of nothing but energy, all of our ailments and problems are made of nothing but energy too. Lets say you have a bad neck because of a car accident you were in. Well if you break down the muscles in the neck down to the proteins and chemical compounds they are made of, then break those further down to the atoms and particles, all you are left with is energy. That means that the source of our problem is energetic and can be fixed with the same kind of energy. This really brings the old saying, “mind over matter” back to life. Now I’m not saying that you can heal your neck just by thinking but, at the same time, if you were to start saying to yourself that your neck is healed and doesn’t hurt anymore, who knows what can manifest. We have so much more power than we give ourselves credit for and the power of intention is one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

A lot of us have a lot of problems that have been coming to the surface as of late, and its important now that we find the source of those problems. The pain you’re experiencing or the anxiety you’re plagued with is not always the whole story, often times there is an underlying problem that has been held down deep inside of us for so long that it is just now finding its way to the surface. Sometimes, when we go through painful or traumatic events, the only way we can deal with them and still live in the world around us is by shoving that pain deep down inside of us so that we don’t feel it. However, just like a plastic bottle forced down into the depths of the ocean, those thoughts and pains always come to the surface. So what do we do if we find ourselves amidst a healing crisis? Well first and foremost we let ourselves heal. Know that its okay to take the time for yourself to do what feels right. Know that you don’t have to force yourself to do something that just doesn’t feel right for you. Be true to yourself and your needs. Sometimes its okay to just lay down or to do something that relaxes and makes us feel better, after all you deserve it and you deserve to be happy. Begin to look at your life, look at everything and instead of running from it, give it your love, give it your thanks as in one way or another it helped you grow and it helped you learn. Begin to find balance in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Look towards a healthy and organic diet, and start finding some form of exercise that feels right for you. When feeling stressed, do something that helps relax you. That doesn’t mean having a drink or plopping yourself down in front of the television. Try going for a walk or reading or listening to happy music or whatever helps you. The important thing is that we acknowledge what is bothering us and that we come to peace with it, instead of running away from it. I also highly recommend meditation. I know it sounds intimidating, sitting there with nothing but your own thoughts, but it really does help to clear away what is at the root of our problems. Even try listening to a guided meditation on youtube to get started. We’ve all gone so far away from our spiritual selves that it might seem like some far eastern concept but, whether you know it or not, we are all spiritual. Spirituality comes from finding happiness in life and taking joy in whatever makes you happy, and it also comes from connecting and feeling the connection to everything around you.

There will be more to come on many of the things I have just begun to address here but just know that YOU are infinite in nature and that you and everything around you is energy, and is connected. And just know that in the end everything  is going to be alright 🙂
